    VAXSYS System

The goal of the VAXSYS System is to accelerate and facilitate the ability for societies and communities to “get back to normal” by offering a simple and secure way to register, enroll and then subsequently verify COVID-19 vaccinations. Whether the business is a corner store, or a major sports franchise, the ability to screen vaccinated parties prior to entry is key to early and safe re-opening.

The VAXSYS System is a scalable end-to-end solution for registering and then subsequently verifying COVID-19 vaccinations. The system provides the VAXSYS Universal Enroller for contact-free record creation, encryption and storage at points of vaccination and the VAXSYS Universal Screener for contact-free determination of vaccination status at points of public entry.

A VAXSYS Biometric Enroller and Screener with contact-free biometric iris scan capabilities is available for use in higher security environments.

VAXSYS Universal

At the time and place of vaccination, the VAXSYS Universal Enroller will read vaccine information, biographic information (to the extent required by the CDC), and create an individual record including date and time. The enroller will then encrypt this record and store it in a designated secure database.

As an option, the encrypted record may also be encoded onto an RFID smartcard which is given to the person vaccinated.

VAXSYS Biometric

At the time and place of vaccination, the VAXSYS Biometric Enroller will read vaccine information, biographic information (to the extent required by the CDC), take a 'contact-less' iris scan using the VAXSYS-supplied iris scanner, and create an individual record including date and time. The enroller will then encrypt that record and store it in a designated secure database.

As an option, the encrypted record may also be encoded onto an RFID smartcard which is given to the person vaccinated.

VAXSYS Screener

VAXSYS Universal Screener App
Downloaded onto any smartphone, the VAXSYS Universal Screener App reads an individual's ID to anonymously determine COVID-19 vaccination status (indicated immediately on the smartphone screen). Optionally, a VAXSYS Card can be used in lieu of the person's regular identification card.

VAXSYS Biometric Screener
Utilizing a VAXSYS-supplied Iris Scanner (fixed or mobile), the VAXSYS Biometric Screener records a 'contact-less' iris scan of the vaccinated party, which is then used going forward to confirm vaccination status with the VAXSYS database.

Optionally, a VAXSYS card may be used in lieu of the person's regular ID card, with the individual's iris template compared to that on file to confirm status. Using this option, no access to the VAXSYS database is required.

How the System Works

1. The Vaccination Site

  • At the time and place of vaccination, the VAXSYS Universal Enroller will:
    • Collect all biographical information required by the CDC along with vaccine data.
    • Create an individual's VAXSYS record containing the above information, plus the time and date of vaccination.
    • Encrypt and store this record in a secure database and, optionally, onto the individual's VAXSYS Card.

2. Public Space Access

  • At any point of entry, the VAXSYS Universal screener will:
    • Read the person’s ID card.
    • Compare this information with records stored in the VAXSYS database.
    • Immediately indicate COVID-19 vaccination status on the smartphone screen.
    • Optionally, a VAXSYS Card may be used in lieu of regular ID to confirm and indivudal's vaccination status.

3. Safety & Security

  • All data collected by the VAXSYS Enroller is encrypted immediately and stored in a secure database.
    • No information read by the Screener is visible to the person condusting the screening; and none is retained on the smartphone.
    • Where a VAXSYS Card is used, all information is encrypted.
    • Where an iris scan is taken, only the iris template is stored (it is not impossible to recreate the original scan from this template).

4. Just the First Step

  • COVID-19 vaccinations are only the first step to recovery. Until a majority of the population is vaccinated, businesses, schools, offices, sporting venues, airlines and others will require a safe and secure way for their operators to determine the vaccination status of those seeking entry to their venues.
